Habyt launches new flexible living space in Tanjong Pagar
SLA mentioned Bethesda’s strong concentrate on area building and connecting people with businesses as what gave its concept the winning edge. The first level will include 10 F&B offerings, whilst the 2nd ground will certainly house a gym by Limitless, a wellness centre in partnership with Shiruki Studio, and a co-working space. Habyt’s Kada at Maxwell gets on the third level.
In August, Habyt Asia Pacific chief executive officer Jonathan Wong signalled that the firm was planning to add even more short-term living alternatives to its local listing. The first properties within the Habyt Flex idea are the 39-room Habyt Novena and the 27-room Habyt Kallang, both started in August. Other properties under the Habyt Flex concept include Habyt Cantonment and Owen Property by Habyt.
Residents of Kada at Maxwell will enjoy infinite and free access to the property’s health and well-being amenities, such as the performance gym, cold plunge, infrared saunas, hot tubs and foot bathrooms.
Habyt has recently launched a brand-new accomodation area at 5 Kadayanallur Street in Tanjong Pagar. The 18-room Kada at Maxwell is the flagship place for the operator’s Habyt Flex concept, that represents a strategic broadening of the company’s product offerings beyond extensive co-living.
The site was awarded to Bethesda Medical, which submitted a per month rental proposal of $103,000, the third-highest quote cost after Wan Dormitory ($160,000) and The Working Capitol ($108,240).
Wong says Habyt Kada at Maxwell represents the company’s dedication to redefining flexible living in Singapore and marks its change towards the upcoming stage of evolution for Habyt Asia Pacific. Room rates at Kada at Maxwell will begin at $180 per night.
Kada at Maxwell will likely supply a variety of rooms, including en suite studios and two- to three-bedroom units. Each unit has a fully set up kitchenette. Guests can book rooms on a nightly or weekly basis, with a 12-month selection even offered.
A public tender to lease the property, now handled by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), was introduced in September 2023. The tender was evaluated based on the bid price and the quality of the proposed idea, and SLA encouraged bidders to think about creative way of living principles.
The versatile home lies within a preserved 1920s colonial building. The three-storey structure, designed by the architectural firm Swan & Maclaren, was one of the earliest modernist structures in Singapore. It was constructed to house the St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children.
“By mixing contemporary benefits with the ageless appeal of a heritage building, we’re offering guests a special lifestyle journey that goes beyond standard accommodation,” includes Wong.
